How to Be A Geeky Tourist

Today we went to the Key West Museum of Art & History and became part of the Artwork!  See if you can spot where Whit & Dan are in the following pictures...

After a fun-filled morning of acting a' fool in the museum, we took an afternoon sailboat ride to Crawfish Key where we went kayaking and snorkling. This key is one of many that people are not allowed to go on so the only way to visit is by kayak/boat.  This key is also home to the Frigatebird, a bird that can fly hundreds of miles out to see and typically live on remote islands.  I thought is was interesting how we could learn a lot from these bird.  For example, when the Frigatebird baby is ready to "leave the nest", the parents will trick them into flying and then not let them land on the same island so they are forced to find another island to live on.  Dan & I hope to utilize this strategy with our own kids when they graduate from highschool (the old " 'will you go to the store for mommy' and then change the locks on them while they're gone" routine).  If it's good enough for the Frigatebirds...

After a long day at sea!

And of course what better way to end your day then with a Giant a** Cookie!
